Where:

• \( HU \) is the heat utilization, in kilojoules per kilogram (KJ/kg).
• \( Qsd \) is the heat supplied to the dryer, in kilojoules per hour (KJ/hr).
• \( Td \) is the drying time, in hours (hr).
• \( MR \) is the amount of moisture removed, in kilograms (kg).
