Turbine Specific Speed (\( N_s \)):
\[ N_s = \frac{N_t \cdot P_o^{0.5}}{H^{1.25}} \]
Where:
- \( N_s \) is the turbine specific speed, in dimensionless units (dmls).
- \( N_t \) is the turbine speed, in revolutions per minute (rpm).
- \( P_o \) is the shaft power, in kilowatts (kW).
- \( H \) is the pressure head across the turbine, in meters (m).
