Radial Load Acting on Shaft Calculator
Calculation Formula
The formula to calculate radial load acting on a shaft is:
\[ F = \frac{19.1 \times 10^6 \cdot P \cdot K}{Dp \cdot N} \]
Where:
- \(F\) is the radial force on the shaft in Newtons (N).
- \(P\) is the power transmitted in kilowatts (kW).
- \(K\) is the drive tension factor (1 for chain drive and gears, 1.5 for V-belt drive).
- \(Dp\) is the pitch diameter in millimeters (mm).
- \(N\) is the shaft speed in revolutions per minute (rpm).
